Our singular purpose is to provide desks so young learners have a personal space to study and learn. We provide these desks at no cost to the recipients. They offered as bare wood, sanded and ready to be painted and decorated. In this way, the student can make their space uniquely personal.
OUR SOLUTION
The Community Desk Project is a non-profit Charity Organization
Our desk and chairs are simply designed, requiring a minimum of tools and time to assemble.
ACHIEVING OUR GOALS
OUR EFFORTS
Building and distributing desks is only part of our work. We also take in donated desk and small tables to repurpose them. We also teach those wanting to learn how to build these desks and chairs. Finally, we work in the background raising funds for more supplies and equipment.
Crafting
A team of volunteers work to make desks and chairs on their own time using donated supplies.
Build Clinics
Check our events page here or on Facebook for upcoming build clinics. No experience is necessary for anyone willing to learn and participate.
Fundraising
Generous members of our community helped formally launch this project through a successful GoFundMe campaign. We continue to seek more sponsors, including corporate donations for lumber and tools.

OUR VOLUNTEERS
We often think of charity as an action. But I think of charity as a state of the heart.
